The Salgueira Quarry started its activity in 1985, with exploration in two fronts. Presently, Miexport extracts two types of limestone: Salgueira and Blue Valverde.

Nowadays, it has the capacity to extract approximately 300 m3/month, allowing regular supply to large scale projects.
